Reflecting

  • 28 March 2016

This past weekend was one of reflection for me. I didn’t set out to do so. I just felt like God was speaking, and I needed to hear from Him. I can’t say I fully understand everything yet, but I do know I needed the reminder to take time to quiet my heart and tune it toward Him, even in the midst of a very busy season.

Thinking about everything Christ went through on the Cross makes me want to not leave one task unfinished before He calls me Home.  In a world that is more scary and unsafe every day, that thought is what keeps me pressing on on a daily basis. If I didn’t believe God still had a work for me to do, I would probably never step outside my door, but the safest place to be is in God’s will and, for me, right now, that still has me traveling all over the country, praying to be an encouragement to each person I encounter.

If you are discouraged but you know you are where God wants you, let that encourage you. Quiet your heart, read His Word, pray for His peace, and press on to keep the faith and run your race. One look at His face will make every mountain look like a stepping stone. Then, I guess that’s what they are anyway.

This describes me to a tee, except I have no outlet. I try to post a few things on Facebook. Get few likes, hardly a share.
I feel liked I am cursed.

I do and have done what you said.

But it’s been so long since God has opened up His windows and blessed me.

I feel that way too with my blog and Facebook posts. I continue in faith that people read them and that God is using them somehow. On Facebook, funny posts may get a bunch of likes while a serious, inspirational or challenging post gets none. There is a reason the Bible tells us to not be weary in well doing. I expect that you are impacting someone who just may not be taking the time to tell you. Forgive me if I have not told you that you are an encouragement to me. I’m thankful our paths have crossed, even if it is just online.

Thank you for the compliments and encouragement.

Now that you mentioned it and I have noticed you get very few responses also.

Yes I am glad our paths crossed on the internet.

But you and I know it’s disheartening.

When I make a comment I don’t intend to steal your thunder.

    God bless you.
