God Is Still on the Throne

  • 28 June 2015

This past week, the Supreme Court made a decision that has caused many to become worried over the future and the state of America. There is a reason that I don’t watch much news: because I know how easy it can be to become depressed and lose sight of the fact that God is still the same yesterday, today, and forever. The fact is that we have been losing our freedom for a while. This is just another spoke taken out of our wheel. No matter what the world does, however, God hasn’t changed, and there is a reason we are here at this moment. Our job is to find out what our purpose is in this ever-changing, dark world. My Facebook page has been riddled with posts as people express their views on the ruling but the best one I read was from a pastor in California who summed up perfectly how I feel. With his permission, I would like to share it with you:

Wow, what a day can hold. There has been so much conversation and online chatter about the Supreme Court Decision today and it is to be expected. I have had several conversations about it already. Its my privilege as a pastor, and its a blessing. But personally, I find myself so blessed to be doing what I do every Friday: preparing Bible studies so that Gods people might be refreshed, refocused, and that they might continue to disciple one another while engaging our ever-changing culture with the Gospel of Jesus Christ that will never change. Today a monumental decision has been made that will change our culture drastically in the near future. But Christian, what has changed really? The world will always be the world, and the church will always have work to do. In John 9:4-5 Jesus said, “I must work the works of Him who sent Me while it is day; the night is coming when no one can work. As long as I am in the world, I am the light of the world.” Lets pray to understand what it means to be the light of the world and passionately pursue that privilege until the Day comes when we will rest and be rewarded. Do not let your hearts be troubled, my friends, lets continue to be about the Fathers business.

Amen!

God is still on the throne! What great assurance.

Some people wonder about Global Warming.

Some people worry about people starving.

Some people worry about running out of fuel to drive there cars, heat there houses and keep the factories running.

    Some worry about wars.

    Some worry about racism.

    Some worry about nuclear war.

Some people worry about losing their possessions.

God is still on the throne!!!

Luke 21:26 Men’s hearts failing them for fear, and for looking after those things which are coming on the earth: for the powers of heaven shall be shaken.

Like I heard Bro. David Wilkerson say and Tim Riley “God is in Control.”

None of this takes God by surprise. He has Lucifer on a leash. He will only let him go so far. How far will he let Lucifer go? Till he destroys the world with his lies.

You see it is like this God and Jesus created this universe. They prepared the earth for human habitation. They created humans so they could have someone to commune with. That’s what God wanted.

But Lucifer threw a monkey wrench in the plan. Lucifer brought evil to humanity and most humanity has been deceived from that moment on.

    But here is the kicker.

    GOD CREATED THE EARTH.

God knows how many people this earth can support.

God knows how much fossil fuel is in the earth and when it will run out.

God knows Lucifer and humanity are polluting and destroying the world.

If there’s such a thing as global warming. God said he would not destroy the world by water. Just look at rainbow and read Genesis.

The earth is running out of supplies and God knows it. God only created it to do so much. The earths atmosphere and supplies could be replenished if humanity would turn to God and Jesus Christ their creator.

So its like this. Go ahead and continue down the pathway you are on and not rely on God and you and Lucifer will destroy the earth.

Now to the Christian. Quit praying for God to bless America or any other country that does not honor God.

Start praying for God to have mercy.

Have mercy on the professing Christians who are being overcomed by the cares of this world.

Luke 21:33-35 Heaven and earth shall pass away: but my words shall not pass away.

34 And take heed to yourselves, lest at any time your hearts be overcharged with surfeiting, and drunkenness, and cares of this life, and so that day come upon you unawares.

35 For as a snare shall it come on all them that dwell on the face of the whole earth.

Pray for the delivering power of the Holy Spirit to protect those who are walking in the Light of the World and being overcomers.

Jesus Christ is coming back and it won’t be long. The Rapture will soon take place.

I don’t know if it is PreTrib, but I do know Jesus Christ will come before the Millennium.

Christians I am serious. Things will not get better, but will get worse.

I feel there may be an election in 2016, but before the new president takes control in 2017, something will happen for the POTUS to declare martial law and stay in the office.

God have mercy on our souls and deliver us from evil.
